You're right...I was tempting humor and it came off badly. I just remember when I first got hired at Delta late in 1991 I was based in LAX (the junior base at the time) waiting on ATL. New York was not the junior base yet because Pan Am was fenced in there. We had many former Western Airlines pilots there (especially captains) and sometimes there were still discussions about the Western - Pacific Northern Airlines merger that happened in 1967. I don't mean to say they were overtly bitter...just discussions. BTW I never flew with a Western Pilot I didn't like. Those guys were good dudes.
Yeah I didn't mean to imply they're bad guys. I especially like the old Hughes Air West guys to fly with (green). Mostly a bunch real laidback west coast guys who seemed to be more mad that Republic closed the west coast stuff and moved them up to the frozen north.
To tell ya the truth, most (but not all) of the red/green stuff went away after the last strike. Nothing like a picket line to give you someone else to be mad at

Didn't miss much in the sports bar last night. But, we did have 6 of us plus 2 UPS guys for dinner at the spiral staircase. Three of us went to the Jet Lag after dinner, but didn't see any "other" Delta Dudes.

NewK, is that June for the Radisson? I thought one of them (ACL?) said March? Ahhhhh the Radisson, dorm life at it's best.
