Second the Motion!

I didn't think CAL paint with UNITED written on it would look bad until I saw the cheap photoshop from marketing.
Anyone else vote for Capt Bligh's merged-logo in his icon? I like it!

That IS hilarious!! (One of my favorite movies) Monkeyfly already asked "Who's 'The Good,'"; I want to know if Tilton is Tuco? And who is Van Cleef?

WOW!! Looks like Jeff's "4th level" secretary drew that up using break room paper-towel while on lunch break this past Friday.
Maybe keeping with the mantra "CUT COSTs", they figure all the have to do is slap a little "white" base paint over the Continental and add United to only "Half" of the fleet, as opposed to come up with a classy/new paint job and redo the ENTIRE FLEET .......Getting this one off on the 'right foot'
+1 on Blighs Avitar.....However, possibly Jeff can pay him a "royalty" and he can be out the door a bit earlier than planned???

To get a VERY educated guess just look at how the US/AmWest and the Delta/NWA deals worked out. Arbitrators awarded decisions that were very consistent with ALPA's guidance.
Simply put: Relative Seniority more or less.
Nobody gets screwed, that's something whiners say. They're simply an appreciation of reality. This job isn't what any of us thought it would be.

When airlines come together, employees get SCREWED.
That is spelled "S C R E W E D". That means some group of people has their way of life DESTROYED. Suddenly, a group of guys who are junior but getting good lines where they could enjoy their children get put on reserve, and have to spend 50% more time in a crash pad away from their kids. That is...if they wind up having a job at all!
THAT is a BIG DAMN DEAL!
Sorry folks, I can see NO WAY that this deal will be good for us. United has terrible customer service, and probably the WORST management in US airline history! And now they are going to take over the well-managed Continental Airlines?
Might as well bring back Frank Lorenzo~ He probably couldn't destroy Continental as quickly as the morons that run United!

Google "non-executive chairman" and see what you find. (hint; its a part-time, non-operational position)
As far as the rest of the management team, ALPA has been told they will have input in to the "best in breed concept" that will be used to select the management team. (take that for whatever its worth?)
As far as the deal being good for us? Its a gamble, and it will take a lot to pull it off. Hard to see through the fog to know what will happen.
