Default Do I now get an extra day of?

I was originally scheduled to deadhead back into Dallas tonight to end my reserve period. Now because of la garbage I’m going to have to catch a deadhead back tomorrow morning. My question is this. Does that deadhead on what was originally my day off cause tomorrow not to be a day off anymore even though I’m not actually flying just sitting in the back, and therefore force the company to give me another day off this month. For context I’m a reserve pilot with 11 days off this month originally scheduled.

You’re absolutely entitled to an additional day off. You can also give them preferences for what day you’d like, though that’s not guaranteed.

I'm sure Mesa was hoping you wouldn't notice that they robbed you of a day off.
