Completion was more important.

These were probably delayed flights. This will be settled for money. Doesn’t help that AA schedules these to arrive with only a 20 minute buffer. It’s actually not the first airline nor will it be the last with this issue at LGB. It’s also a joint issue with dispatch and the PIC. Airborne delay would you take the fine (it’s small!) or divert?

$300. Fine. So fork over the 4600 and be done with it.. city's is just trying to squeeze every ounce of money out they can. And pretend to be SNA... LGB turned down a international terminal. And then there shocked when jetblue scaled back there..

Buried in some other articles is that this prosecution happened to American and Jet Blue in the past. They don’t settle for the small fine. They settled Jet Blue’s criminal prosecution for 46,000 dollars. Way more than the accumulated fines. You can be prosecuted even if you paid all the fines. It’s about money. Big money.
