So there go the 700s

Email just out:

The new aircraft will be based in IAD and replace our CRJ-700 aircraft, which will be leased to another United Express carrier. As each new E-175 LL aircraft is delivered, we will remove one CRJ-700.

In our pilot working agreement, we guarantee those based in IAD the option to move to the new aircraft and remain in base. For reference, this is outlined in our Mesa Pilot Working Agreement Section 23, page 143 (23-D-6-b).

Bye bye sweet 516, 518, 519 🤣🤣

A little surprised they pulled it out. ExpressJet and compass thought they were getting all of the flying for sure

I just want to hear Melit's comments about how these planes were guaranteed to go to SkyWest.

Congratulations! A friend just forwarded me the announcement.

The extension of the 42 non-owned aircraft, plus these 20 on a long-term contract. This locks up some decent flying for EJet pilots.

And, the Dulles CRJ700 pilot fears that they would be left in the dust and not able to come over to the Ejet because the company was too cheap to teach the CRJ pilots how to fly the Ejet. You get a new type rating and get to stay in Dulles. Just bogus rumors.

So how many 175s are you getting?

That was compass’s only hope at surviving 2020. That airline will be history by June

I imagine they get merged into one of the other trans states holdings airlines or sold, not good for them at all at the moment

If they try to move me to IAD I’m gone

Going to be interesting to see how many iad guys will go to DFW instead of getting the 175 type.
