Yeah it’s crazy this someone was just asking about hiring today and then hours later that email came out saying a massive furlough is possible. Idk, it’s not a true warning notice. They could just be playing their cards with a scare tactic hoping we agree to the reduced hour MOU.

Sorry to hear that you guys won’t be flying anytime soon. -Mesa MAGMEC voted down the MOU. I am personally on the chopping block and would rather be furloughed than accept less than 76 hours guarantee. The senior people are right. If you accept the 62 hour guarantee, then you’ll be bargaining to get 76 back in the future. The company will still furlough. Not worth it. When the company can afford you, you’ll come back. They make profit off of your labor, and it’s in their best interest to have you working when they can afford you. Don’t give them anything for free because they won’t do the same for you. I’m glad the union voted down the MOU Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Prime example of how the company is trying to take advantage of its pilots. Flight Attendants didn’t get any notice of furlough. The company is attempting to leverage the union by speaking directly to the pilot group scaring them into talking to the union to reduce the guarantee.
JO was gloating on the investor call that he had a lower training cost due to not training pilots. 4 million just this quarter if I remember correctly. Why now is he asking for us to make less? Answer is profits and greed. Company vs Pilots. Round 1 fight! Let’s get it on. Guy didn’t even have the balls to send the email out himself. Sent his minions to do it. Company communication 10pm Dallas time. Lack of leadership. A real leader would take questions on the spot, not pre screened 1 question per employee. Cherry picking each question. |

So if they are gojng to furlough why are they still hiring an giving out CJO an telling people that classes start in 6 months. This happened to a friend of mine today.

I honestly don't see how or why they would do that. It would take almost 6 months from now just to bring back everyone who was furloughed already.

I know an idea they are furloughing 490. That will take at least a year if not more but are still adding to there pilot pool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

This is a prime example of why you can’t trust or bank on a regional. They give you false hope just like this. I met a guy in a flying club recently that got a CJO from Mesa for the Ejet with no start date. They are just trying to grab whoever they can so if hiring would resume the can scope up whoever is still out there and available. It’s purely a numbers game.
Realistically when do you think training could resume Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
