Does Mesa pay you during training and if yes how much?

Cancelled Class date with Mesa and picked Skywest. Wish me luck!

Yes. Min guarantee 76@100/hr.

Great, now I regret emailing them lol. I guess some things don’t have a price and I know my life would be hell commuting from PDX to Houston. Maybe SkyWest does reach out with earlier class date like Mesa did 🤞🏻

When Mesa files bankruptcy, they’ll be able to get their costs down and become super competitive in relation to the other regionals. This will lead to more flying and drive the other regionals into death spirals. Smart move by Mesa. Use the normal airline business cycle to destroy other regionals.

They will but every pilot there will bail for other regionals or LLC’s… BK would be there death punch.. lateral moves are super lucrative this time. Unlike the last BK..

Uh no. This is chess. Your best move is to have a seniority number at Mesa. Stick it out through any bankruptcy announcement. The game is afoot.

What happens if mesa drop their American side of contract? All of their CRJ pilots are gonna go to ERJ and theres gonna be delayes just like in Horizon

Maybe, but likely not. Vague I know. But let’s take worst case. AA flying ends. (It won’t happen suddenly and overnight. It’ll wind down slowly). Crjs sold. Pilots transition to ejet. We could take every crj pilot over to the ejet and still have less than we had pre covid. Nobody will lose their job. We may be idle a bit. Getting paid. But there are paths where that isn’t necessary. This doesn’t look to be playing out like anyone would predict. Nothing and I mean literally nothing (including a bankruptcy filing) makes me fear for the future of the pilot group here. Now I know I sound like Couldrough but he’s right. Don’t make a panic move. Things are going to radically change. Delta made the first move. AA Counter punched and UA is in the brawl. Just get some popcorn but don’t worry.
