After lurking here for a short time I finally joined the forum. I listened to the recent conf call and was very disappointed but not really surprised by management's position and attitude towards pay/contract. I'll be voting with my feet come December (want to keep my good schedule through holidays), apps will go out to other regionals and I hope to be gone by Feb 2017.

Otherwise..your engine is running but there is no one behind the wheel. No excuse to subject yourself to Mesa ever but especially in today's working environment.

serious psychological evaluation, yes yes yes you are soon right, thats definetly what I need, Thank You Brah

Honestly, I agree that Mesa should be the last choice in starting at the regionals..FOs that I talk to really just didn't know what they were getting into. They missed the upgrade and were sweet talked over the phone. Good news is that it doesn't take long for them to realize there are better places to work at and I have been encouraging them to move on.

Yea I need to start telling FOs to bail... provided they aren't close to upgrade. Mesa has to have something up their sleeve though. They know that more airplanes will keep upgrade going, which will in turn keep some new hires coming... can they do it? Is it too late?

Incentive flying was just offered on the EJET side for this weekend. All you pilots who picked up the open time when it was first offered on the 23rd only get standard pay. As I posted previously, if you would've waited you would get the 200%. Stop taking the open time when its first offered. Make the company pay you more when they offer the incentive.

But how many more airplanes are even possible under current scope clauses? And how many more aircraft would you realistically get under any new flying agreements? Certainly not enough to have a huge impact on a new hire's qol and career progression. It's going to take more than airplanes and a small pay raise to keep the ship afloat.

This is true, but for me Mesa actually works good with my life style (live in base, opputunity to work at my previous job, 121 time) We do need a better contract.

Better yet, don't take it at all and make them REALLY PAY.
Tired of red reserves and poverty wages ...

To be fair, I said you would have to be crazy to go to Mesa today. Let's be honest: Mesa was never a good option for anyone. But I don't fault current guys so much. They just made the wrong decision, which is something we all have done. They are at fault for staying one second longer than they need..and with everyone hiring, including Envoy out of DFW, it is a bonehead move to drag your time at Mesa out any longer.

BUT, my original statement was regarding people NOT at Mesa who are actually applying with the intent of going. They need a serious psychological evaluation. Sorry, but it's true. That doesn't apply to guys already there.
