I'm curious how long this will take to develop. I am about ready to burn through a big chunk of my GI Bill doing Multi Commercial.

A big chunk? I used 3 months of my 36 to get inst/comm/multi at a 141 college. The key is to do it as part of a degree program, not as a vocational school. I did it 3.5 years ago, so maybe something changed, but may want to look into it.

It took 7 just to do my Instrument. I used TA to do my education and already have a degree. Several guys I work with are going to Liberty in conjunction with their Flight Training. Still being on Active Duty throws a wrench into things.

I was active duty, and a busy commander at that, when I did mine. And I already had a degree. I went down to the local college that used GI Bill/yellow ribbon (a fairly big state school with a robust flight program), along with a bunch of other helo dudes from my unit, and enrolled in a professional pilot bachelors degree program, but only enrolled in flight labs, not real classes. $50k of flight training money deposited into my account. I only used half of it to finish my 3 add-on ratings and did all of them in 3 months and about 100 hours (a lot of which was time building since I had the funds and had commercial/inst helo and private airplane ratings already). I didn’t believe my buddy who told me about this, who started doing it before I PCSd there, but it was legit and worked out great. Way better than the vocational/fight training use of the GI Bill. I still have enough GI bill to get a masters or give some to my kids. I have heard they put some restrictions on the method I used due to abuse. But worth looking into.
