Default “Arrested” for crossing red line?

I have been arrested for the exact same thing by the base keystone kops. Same exact thing happened to me with the paperwork and my CO.
Blow it off. It isn’t an arrest or conviction. I wouldn’t even think about it.
It made for a good bar story and got some laughs since I was bailed out of jail by a brand new LTjg pretending to be my boss. I was back on the streets breaking laws (and hearts) about an hour later.

Copy all, thanks for the responses. I went to the local SF squadron at my current base this morning and the cop there said it wasn’t a big deal...he previously was at Kunsan and saw several folks get detained during his stint there for the same exact thing. We both got a good laugh about it.

This brings back some great memories of friends getting jacked up on the flight line. I got to witness it a couple of times. Great entertainment!!

In a previous squadron I had 3 buddies get rolled up on by the cops after parking an aircraft and shutting down after a late night sortie. The AC wasn't having any of it until the overzealous cop had his hand on his weapon and yelling/escalation ensued. They ended up going to the cop shack because they didn't want to get shot by some crazy kid...classic.

What about traffic violations on base where you got ticketed? Does one confess to that?

Depends. Some bases now have arrangements with local LE to issue real citations. If you paid a fine, it was a real ticket. If you were processed entirely on the base I don't think it's real. I'm pretty sure those do not get on your state divers record.

I got busted taking hookers back to the VOQ, overseas base, in a military vehicle. Going away present for a buddy being medic vac’d out. True story.

SP’s - “Hookers in government vehicle is fraud, waste, and abuse.” Ugh. This might be bad. Enlisted guys, apparently they can’t arrest us??? They call for the OOD. Reservist doing x days of AD. Lives near us. “You guys just showed up two days ago, didn’t you?” Yeah. “Tell everyone no hookers in government vehicles, and no locals in vehicles off the main road. Walk them back to the Q and have a good night.” Whew.

Yeah, the red line thing is important but I agree on the no common sense sometimes. When you're a bored SF or MP person sometimes all you need some excitement to break your day up.

And if you see an old man rolling downhill in a wheelchair screaming because he can't stop and he's heading towards the red line... you lock and load I guess.

Didn't the old guy read the sign that says "Use of Deadly Force is Authorized"?
