Tricare For Life Pharmacy Copay
I just discovered that the Tricare For Life pharmacy copays just went from $0 to $7 for generic medications. Not the end of the world (at least for me) but it is probably the start of death by a thousand cuts. This is not what I was promised.
For a lot of retirees with major health issues that are living on a fixed income, this could have a major impact.

My wife is on Tricare Standard as her secondary with FedEx Retiree High Deductible as primary. The copay on her allergy shots just went from $1.36 to $7.15. It is now considered an office visit so the copay equals the allowed amount. Again, not a big deal, but not what I signed up for.

Yes I know it's "not what you signed up for". Crap happens.
You have it better than 99.999% of the world. Get over it.
BTW I am in similar circumstances but I choose to not complain about petty stuff. life is too short.

Unfortunately, none of us really "signed up" for anything. There was never any sort of contract for pay or benefits, you basically get whatever Congress authorizes at any particular point in time.
Don't read too much into what transpired in the past, its not relevant. If the economy tanks bad and/or the Fed bloats to the point that it struggles to pay all the unearned welfare entitlements, you can expect your pension to get cut... perhaps down to basic social security.
