I'm an airlift guy in a unit full of ALOs and what can I say...it's not that bad. If you're looking for a fini tour that will lead you into the airlines ALO ain't the way to go. Otherwise, not so bad. We're in Hawaii so it's an overseas long tour, you'll "get" to do a rotation in the sandbox which will get you an overseas short--neither of which is probably a big deal in the Bone but it's huge for fighter guys. It's a two year assignment and you get preferential treatment when it comes back to flying. So, it's not so bad, I'd definately do it over the UAV in a heartbeat.
That said, I was a Tweet FAIP back in the day and really had a good time flying white jets. Like to go back but just doesn't really work for me at this point in my career. If you can get it go for it, the flying is good and sleeping in your own bed every night versus a tent or worse speaks for itself. I was there in the late 90's hiring boom and the airlines sure seemed quite happy with everyone's Tweet time.
