Default Major Airline Application Review and Prep

I am in the process of transitioning from the Military to the Airlines. I am an Army pilot with 3600+ hrs, 3000+ FWME, 1200+ PIC in King Airs and Citations. (I know, rare for Army) There are a lot of prep companies out there and have had peers recommend different companies. I am looking for the best bang for the buck. I am targeting United, American and Southwest primarily due to my location. I am also applying to Delta. I am not limiting my applications but many companies only review two or less. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I used checkedandset.net and was very happy. I didn’t have any errors really but he helped rework some of the job descriptions and such to attempt to get the attention of the computers. He is a former hiring manager at UAL. Got the call from United within a couple months of going through the review.

Get the book Cockpit 2 Cockpit. Very good read, it'll cover most of what you need to know about getting started and how to push through to your final career destination. It has lots of info not only on how to get yourself ready for the transition, but also what areas you should probably get professional assistance with during your application and interview timeframes.

I personally used checked and set for resume/applications, RST (ready set takeoff) for Delta knowledge prep, and careertakeoff.com for SWA interview prep.

Emerald coast is good, they know mil.

I've heard Cage might give you more one-on-one, if you have any "issues" that you need to navigate.

I didn't have any issues to speak of, but Cage was awesome. I did prep with them for multiple interviews. They are well know for their United prep but I found them to be spot on for each and every interview I went to.

I was in the same boat as you, Army guy that went fixed wing early on. I went with Centerline for my resume, App review, and interview prep. I start at United on the 19th.

Do you have your ATP? If you do not, and don't get a call pretty quick, I would bite the bullet and spring for the ATP.

Lacking the ATP is a big negative on a resume for a legacy airline, although a regional would grab you immediately without it.

Checked and set for a Delta and SWA review. If airlineapps is good for Delta, United will be happy with it.

I also used emerald coast and got job offers from 2 of those 3 you are targeting (one never even called). I paid for RST but never used it since Delta was #3 on my list but I got my #s 1 & 2.
