lastly, have you ever tried to arrange billeting and messing for 3000 personnel? In quarantine? On Guam? Anyone believing that could be done quickly is ... uninformed. They might try reading this:

But could it cause this?

Apparently Modley addressed the crew on the 1MC and it didn't go over well.

It will be interested to read the transcript once it gets leaked.

More like 5,000; heck, an unexpected C-5 crew screwed up Andersen BOQ.

Yeah, but they only put off about 3000. Anchor watch, reactor watch, security, somebody’s got to clean and sanitize the whole damn ship and it’s unlikely to be a civilian contract crew, etc....

Good point.

And if Guam ever needed to be evacuated, they could use a CVN to keep it from drifting away.

It has been. Apparently didn’t go over too well....warnings afterwards to delete any recordings, repercussions, etc.

Which were promptly ignored. I don’t think they can fire 5000 sailors.

SECNAV probably shouldn't have gone there but what do I know. Politics maybe.

The strike group boss is a two-star, HE was CAPT Crozier's on-scene operational boss. He's the guy who should be fielding this one.

He's also a fighter pilot and former CVN CO himself... really wondering what was going on between those two, the CSG CO is normally billeted onboard the CVN, so he was accessible. Bizarre.

The boss just said he was going to get involved. Should be interesting.
