Very true. Its amazing how words like this can be watered down to insignificance. Did you realize that bobloblaw is an anagram for blow a blob?

So let me get this straight. The only way to have honor is to serve in the armed forces. Working everyday for a living by keeping our country's economy moving is not honorable. Providing food, clothing, shelter and sacrificing for your children and family is not honorable.

People who are honorable, and heroic usually don't feel that they deserve the title. Those who are in the service and feel that because they serve they are honorable and heroic don't deserve respect and are certainly not heros. You don't have to worry if you are a hero or honorable, because if you are someone will tell you.

I think the sandwich artists at Subways are the real heroes.

No, they skimp on the meat. Quizno's employees are heros.

No, it's not. It's what you're expected to do.

By your standards:
-Every time I make a smooth landing, that's honorable.
-Every time the rampers load a bag into the belly of my plane, that's honorable.
-Every time a passenger doesn't leave a giant mess behind when they leave, that's honorable.

No, this is not my standards and it is a lame attempt at putting words in my mouth. You are not expected to work, it is not a requirement. But when you do work, you are expected to follow the orders of your superiors or risk getting terminated. You choose to join the service. Once you do you are expected to follow the orders of your superiors. Both circumstances can lead to your demise. You might not want to fly to KCMH, arrive late and get out early, but you have to if you want to keep your job. The biggest difference is fail to follow an order of an Officer and you can find your self in Levenworth. (SIC?)
