No worries dude, J. and I go a waaayyyyy back. Especially when you find yourself in Oki/Japan/Korea with nothing better to do than play crud at the club and then somehow get the bright idea to see if you can find the bottom of the bottle all by yourself, all the while watching some movie everybody on deployment has already seen 10 times (the same one that when you get home your wife won't get passed 15-20 minutes of it).

Just my 2 cents but the FARs say, " A person may log instrument time only for that flight time when the person operates the aircraft solely by reference to instruments under actual or simulated instrument flight conditions." so if I flew on a pitch black night and primarily used the hud to fly then I logged instrument time on the goggles, if it was a bright night and I didn't need the hud/instr to fly, then I didn't log the time.
