Default 131st FW

Does anybody know what the story is on the F-15 squadron that the Missouri ANG has based at STL? Back towards the beginning of 2007, I'd heard that they were supposed to be moving to a different base this year (which was suposed to have happened by now). However, I recently heard that the commander of the base they were supposed to move to didn't want them there and managed to get it tangled up in a bunch of paperwork. Whatever happened, they're still here, and I'm wondering if anybody knows why and/or for how long.

I am not an official source but I remember reading an article in the St. Louis Post that said they had until 2011.

One of the pilots I talked to said they had the option to fly the B-2 out of Whiteman, keeping the pilots in Missouri.

Would be nice if they stayed in St. Louis though.

Buddy of mine from AMS and Pilot training is in that unit and he said that they are going to Whiteman. They are still putting him through -15 school, but the older guys are going to the B-2.

Thanks for the info, guys!
I live pretty close to the airport, and whenever STL is landing on the 30s the F-15s roll into the break almost right over my house. I've enjoyed watching them ever since I moved here.
