The instructor was sensitive to my situation and whole heartedly encourage my efforts. He would let me sit in on other people's ground lessons, "Sandbag" on their flights as an observer (With their consent of course), and even gave me some free flight time all in exchange for some elbow grease. I helped out around the Association's office, and spent quite a bit of time scrubbing down their planes. All in all it was a steal. On my weekends I got to sit around and listen to experienced pilots talk about aviation, take free flights, and I got to know every nook and cranny of Cessna 152's, 172's, and 172RG's.

Wow sounds really cool and something I been wanted to do for while but none the less I am being held down.

Ultimately I want to fly for the AF so I would need to got to college. I can try to do what you did and go to a Junior College but I would hate my life. I would rather go to the college of my choice and learn to fly there.

Well, I guess you are just S.O.L. then. Based off your short replies and limited info, I make the following assumptions:

1. You're screwing around and are trying to stir the pot. Therefore, you are not worth the time and will be ignored
2. You are screwing around because what the heck does an 18 year old know about the government?
3. Just want to get into aviation and learn the lingo and such? WTFO? Let me guess, your name is Achmed and the gubbamint is holding you down because you are Middle Eastern. You can't say anything because you might get into trouble?? Give me a break.

Nice try with the 9/11 reference. Next thing is that you will ask for flying lessons but you don't need to learn how to land or take-off. Just leave this website.

Hey Mods...delete this thread and this guy's account.

Edit: I noticed that this forum does not have Private Messaging. In hindsight I probably should have not made it a big deal but I had trouble with this on other forums. Lets just leave it at that.

LMAO

Nothing can be further from the truth. I guess I can see why you would think that this is a joke but it's not. I seriously just want to become a pilot nothing else.

On a serious note I will never even think about disrespecting the people that died in 9/11.

Speaka da engrish?

1.) Are you a United States Citizen?
1.a.) If so, you might want to learn to speak English 'gooder' so you don't fail the AFOQT.

Who/What is holding you down? The Man?

haha the people in this forum are funny.

I get a lot of typos when I try to type fast and I haven't been in school for a while so yes my English is getting ****ty; give me a break man.

Edit: Went back and fixed most of the mistakes I made. U still mad?

I am lost. Didn't see any 9/11 reference, I am assuming you deleted it in an edit. So my question is, what will change between now and a few years from now that will let you get money, join the military, etc.?

Spartan07 09-11-2007 09:22 PM

It's not a citizenship issue, You can still join the military as a non-U.S citizen.

Sputnik 09-11-2007 09:24 PM

I'm lost, you're asking for advice but not listing the conditions that require it? Why are you in a bind?

In today's climate when you can enlist with felony drug charges, I'm lost as to what will prevent you from enlisting now, but won't in a year, and yet you can't talk about it. And by the way you refuse to answer anyting I actually think you're full of sh!t.

Catscan 09-12-2007 08:24 AM

Well I see it was a big mistake asking for help. For the people that actually tried to help me I thank you. I didn't want to tell people what it was because it was personal and did not think it was a big deal.

FlyArmy I never referenced or hinted anything about 9/11 I have no idea how people came to that conclusion.

Mods please delete this thread.

FlyArmy 09-12-2007 08:27 AM

I'd like to try to help but given such little information there is really not much I can do...sorry bud.
