L188.... as far as the Navy Reserves as a selres if you get mobilized it is to the squadron not to an IA. I have only seen the FTS types getting tagged for the IA gig. My advice is if you get out, the reserves is a good way to ensure that retirement pay at age 60. The tricare for life is the best benefit overall. AFRES if you get mobilized the whole unit goes on a 4 month stint. NAV RES the longest I have seen gone is a three week detachment (C-130's PT Magu).

Every training squadron has a reserve outfit too. The 737's and C-9's want you for three consecutive days at a pop and 7 days a month plus drill weekend. The training squadrons can use you with a min of 1 day.
