I wrote an earlier post a few days ago, but have another more direct question.
I am currently a Boom Operator on a 135 in the Guard. I need an age waiver to get into UPT. I am currently 31 y/o. I have excellent grades, test scores, etc. I have always been Q1 and get good marks on my airmanship. Good fitness, etc.
My unit is really overstaffed with pilots now, we were suppose to get 12 "R" models and only got 8. So they mass hired and now have too many. That's why they can't.
Is anyone, or do you know anyone, who is willing to give out an age waiver?
I will do what ever it takes to get one. Any help or direction would be really helpful. Thanks in advance for any help you can give out.

I don't think so. My immediate commander is really nice....not so much the further up the chain you go. There is a lot of decent within the ranks of the whole ops sq right now. I mean a lot!!!! The younger pilots 12 yrs or less and booms are really unhappy and the uppers just seem to don't care. It's unfortunate because we really have a great bunch of guys! Everyone is afraid to say anything because how they react.
