Ahh - I remember it well especially the Navy style USAF uniforms with the stripes on the sleves. And then there was Darleen Druyun. It would be entirely appropriate for the French tanker be named after some combination of their names.

As suggested = a thread of its own.
IMHO he flunked out of pilot training and was sent to Navigator /Electronics Warfare school. Thereafter he was a EWO in Wild Weasel F-16, F-15 and Weapons System Officer (NAV/EWO) in the B-1. The other airplanes he cites were ones he got a ride in. His claimed instructor jobs may be true but he was there in the NAV/EWO capacity not as a pilot.

He said EWO not WSO. Doesn't anyone know the difference? You're crossing union lines here! EWO's are typically MUCH Geekier than WSO's.
Many F-16 wings have EWO's but they don't have a flying position. They settle lower level beeps-n-squeaks issues and program the MSS/MPS or whatever they call it now.
They can grab a back seat when it's open but they're not like F-4G EWO's.

Aviation Cadet Navigator training 1 yr (really dating myself). EWO Training - Keesler AFB 1 yr. B-52 CCTS, Survival Tng, B-52s at Westover - 2000 hrs). Lots of Aero Club flying - applied for UPT and got accepted. Traded in my kindly nerdy EWO personality for ego centric SOB pilot lifestyle. Still have total appreciation for NAVs and EWOs.
