I gotta ask---
How does an enlisted guy in the Navy Fly Helos--to the tune of 1800 hours?
I know the Army has warrant officers that fly but I thought the Navy/Marine Corps required a commissioned officer to go to flight school--?
I know they did do it in the Vietnam era but thought that was stopped in the 80's.

Unfortunatley- tried to go that route and I would have been a prime candidate...but one year over the age cutoff.

Yeah- the P3 is being replaced by the 737. Im not sure how they are going to transition the pilots. I've heard that a lot of P3 pilots will not be changing over...but it is all rumors. Who knows what will happen. It would be a good deal to get that slot- automatic 737 type rating for free.
