Have you seen the video of a CH-46?? (Did a search but can't find it) with right rear gear that wouldn't extend? They used pallets and a bottle jack to support it. The pilot had to land on top of it. Marine ingenuity...it worked.

I'm surprised they didn't just shout at it until it got scared and dropped on its' own!
