Default FAA Medical Examiners in Germany

Any of y'all stationed in Ramstein or Spang know of an FAA medical examiner in the area? None of the Army Flight Surgeons that I've come across have gotten certified by the FAA to issue FAA Medical Certificates.

I believe there are some in the Stuttgart area. Contact this guys Hans, [email protected] he probably can point you in the right direction. Also if you contact the Aeroclub at Coleman Barracks, I would think they'd have some contacts too.
I get my done in Vienna.

Good luck,

Thumbs up FAA Foreign Country Medical List

A couple of us from Ramstein have used different doctors around the area. Go to this website for info: AME Search Criteria

I used a guy in Speyer, but he tried to pull a fast one at the end and raise the price. We had agreed to 150 euro, but afterward he wanted 250 euro claiming that the Germans pay on average 500. WHATEVER! So shop around is my advice. I've heard great things about the guy in Trier from multiple guys. I actually talked to him but he wanted 175 euro, so I went with who I thought was cheaper.

And remember that the FAA has just increased the length a Class 1 physical is good for--- 1 year vs. the old 6 months.

Cheers,
