Default End or Change to Retiree SSB, VSI Recoupment?

Military Report - Retirement Separation Recoupment Suspended

Hmm, it would seem this will also apply to VSP takers (if they end up retiring) since it would count as a "Separation Payment."

As of 1 Jun, recoupments for retirees are suspended until further legal review by the DoD.

Also, new legislation is being considered to determine if the DoD should be given additional discretion as to changing the recoupment rate.

Thumbs down don't click on the above link

Whether intentional or not, the link in the above post appears to launch a virus... easy to quarantine with an updated virus scanner, but nonetheless annoying as hell...

Why would they "suspend" payments? It would just make sense to me that they would continue to collect the money and not change the status quo unless policy was changed.
