What to wear to ANG unit?

Well, I'm going to Boise the end of the month to meet the guys and gals of the 124th Wing of the Idaho ANG during their drill weekend. I was curious what I should wear: suit? Shirt and tie? I'm turning in my packet while I'm there and want to make a good impression. Also, any other tips or advice? Bring beer maybe? :D

Thanks!

Wear a suit and bring beer, not natty light but some good local beer from where you live. A 12 pack should do, 2 cases might be overkill.

I don't know about a suit. Maybe a polo and slacks, or your bag if you feel like it. Beer or donuts/coffee, depending on when you show up.

Slacks, shirt, and maybe tie, but no jacket. Shows that you know how to be professional when needed but are not wound too tightly.

I'm wouldn't be 100% sure about the beer for say the SLC tankers, but it should be OK in Boise... after lunch.

Khakis/slacks and a button down. Also, reconsider wearing your favorite blue Brooks Brothers shirt. 3 other guys are going to be wearing that shirt and you'll be made fun of. :)

I would not suggest a tie.

Ok so no suit.... looks like slacks (not really a khakis kind a guy) and a button down, possibly a tie. Roger on the beer. Any other tips and advice?

Thanks everyone!

make sure to do your research before you show up, don't show up asking full retard questions that can easily be found or just aren't important. There was a guy that asked what kind of APU a herk has? Now a question like what their ops. tempo or deployment rotation/ duration would be good to find out.
Also, be yourself, but be respectful to rank, etc.

A recap from an exchange I had with two O-3s when I interviewed for an ANG C130 nav slot:

(them) - Hey you, what's your name?

(me) - BoilerUP, Sir.

(them) - What are you doing here?

(me) - Interviewing for a Nav position, Sir.

(them) - You don't want to be a nav, you want to be a pilot. Come with us.

(me) - Sir, MSgt. xxxx told me to sit here and wait for him.

(them) - See these bars? <points to rank on flight suit> These trump stripes. Come with me.

(me) - Yes sir!
They took me to the ops room, where there were a dozen folks and two massive trays of pulled pork BBQ. I was told to grab a plate and a sandwich or three and stay there until the Ops Group commander started asking where the college boy in the suit was :D

Three days later, I got a call telling me they wanted to hire me...as a pilot.

Too bad I got washed out at MFS...:(

If you are a hot chick, then wear something revealing.

And if you're an ugly chick, wear something REALLY revealing.:p
