I'm watching a show on the Military Channel which is focused on the HITRON (Helicopter Interdiction Tactical Squadron) based out of the former NAS Cecil Field.

It looks like a very interesting job for both the pilots and the Aviation Gunners. Do any of the USCG pilots on this forum have experience flying with this unit?

I've had quite a few opportunities to fire most of the weapons used by the gunners - to incude the M107. Always an exciting shoot!

It is just another case of the interesting and rewarding missions that the USCG perform day-in and day-out.

Great show Flyer. Especially the live fire exercise at the end. I am continually impressed with USCG.
