Anyone used the GI Bill for advanced training

The old bill will pay for part 141 training at any school, like you and I did.

Wow, I'm really glad I found this discussion.
I have Chapter 30 GI Bill benefits, and I just used them to finish up my instrument rating. I'm now enrolled in my commercial multiengine program down here at FIT in Melbourne, FL.
I have a couple questions that I hope you guys can answer because it sounds like you've been there and done that.
1. With respect to monthly reimbursements, is there a cap at which they will not reimburse you beyond? I.e., let's say I had a good month at the 9-5 and I had saved up enough money to fly $10,000 worth of flying in a month - will the GI Bill scoff at paying me $6K? How about $10K? The amount is irrelevant I guess, just more curious as to if there is a cap or not.
2. I have about $35K left in my GI Bill 'account'. Can I use ALL of that for flight training or will they cut me off after some arbitrary amount?
3. Will the VA pay for time building? I believe I need 1500 hours for an ATP and as you can imagine, I'm not even close - so if I need an ATP rating, will they pay 60% of the hourly rate to get me there?
4. How can I get them to pay 60% for a tailwheel endorsement, spin training, floatplane, and other ancillary ratings/endorsements?
5. Will they pay for advanced rating is both fixed and rotary wing certificates? I ask because if there's any money left over after I can't get any more fixed wing ratings, I think it would be great to pay out of pocket for a helo private license and then use the balance of the GI bill to get some advanced ratings from there.
I apologize for the long winded questions in advance but I'm hoping I can get some answers here since Google seems to lead nowhere but advertising for flight schools - thanks fellas.

Oh, and I guess I should introduce myself - Hi, I'm Tim and I'm a former Marine Flight Mech on KC130's. I'm not necessarily looking to fly as a career, but I think it would make me a safer pilot to haul my precious cargo (wife and 2 young kids) to behave as if I were a professional.
Thanks again,
Tim
