Thanks all for the info. Nice to know the magnificent machine is still with us.
"ALL of the Heritage jets are drones."
Time for a silly question. They would be flown by pilots I assume, not remotely flown at airshows?
Zondracer,
What f-4's are t DM?

Phantom Phollies
2. The jets at DM are either:
a. Being flown to Mojave to be converted to Drones by BAE, or
b. Are passing through on their way to somewhere, say, a Mojave jet being flown to Tyndall or Eglin.

The Collings jet (F-4D; the fin-flash is either FP or OY) is the only short-nose Phantom I know of flying the airshow circuit. I saw it a month ago and can't remember. F-4 air to air
I'll agree with you and UAL here on the Collings F-4 tailcode - FP (old paint job was with Richie's name on it OY = Oyster Flight)
The Collings Foundation operates the only privately owned F-4 flying.
UAL - owe you a beer - the Skyhawk IS actually a TA-4F, but has been converted into a TA-4J (but not really). Confused? Me too

Your opinion (eeerrr.....knowledge) doesn't count
I don't think so. They came up with a third alternate and 'Bert' coming down early next week.
Your job is getting in the way of your (and my) FUN!

UAL - further proof that I owe you a drink. I should have known better
