Pilot Pay while in UPT
#61
Yeah your right, they must just hand out military phone numbers to civilians with no questions asked. Better yet, I should just drive to the T-6 base I am going to be at, hop over the fence and walk around in my civilian clothes asking everyone I meet it they know about pilot pay. God I am sure that will go over great.
Take it easy Dick, im doing the research on here. Next time you see one of my posts do yourself a favor. Take the time that you would use to write a foolish remark on my post and do something else.

Everything you thought you knew about aviation is going to change....for the better. However, don't think this road will be easy. Don't know your experience but I've had the displeasure in the past of washing out 1000 hour plus CFI's because the didn't want to accept the new paradigm.
You'll also be coming through my current neck of the woods where I currently work shortly. Many gray beards like me at IFS. Folks that, like me, started training UPT students before you were even born.
What is it you are going to tell me about the military or aviation in general? Everything you thought you knew is about to change. Accept it or fail. Your choice.
Good luck to you. I'll be the guy next to you giving instruction.

No Scrap, that goes in the "I wish" category. I just retired this past Dec w/ about a 50/50 split on AD/Guard time.
And, I stand corrected on the "can't make you live on base" thing. I sort of remember that option being unavailable for some of my UPT bros now that I think about it, but it's been a looooong time.

Nice job w/ the search. You need to lay off the Law and Order reruns, I think. In my defense, I never said using this board is "stooping" or bad option i.e. "crazy". It's just usually not my first stop when I have the option to make a phone call and ask someone whose job it is to know the answer.
