You are the first person I've ever heard of that has used the phrase "waste your money" and "Sheppard Air" in the same sentence.

My experience, and everyone else in my squadron that used them, is that their product is first rate.

I'm not sure where the poster is getting that [waste of money and Sheppard Air] either since his "guy" isn't going to be able to give you the ATP written.

Sheppard Air is well worth every penny. I used it and almost every pilot in my squadron has used it to study for the ATP written. Great interface and easy to use. Highly Recommend!!

Sheppard Air is great. The poster may think it is a flight school like All ATP.

Just finished up my written from Shepard. 93%. Great interface. Now I need to find a place where to take the flying test. I e-mailed John Trask 2 days ago. He said his DE ticket was taken away back in May. :( Looks like his name was put out there too much.....

That's unfortunate. He was also very old. When I talked to him on the phone, before I went up there, we chatted about the Air Force and I asked him what he flew. He told me B52s and I asked if he had been stationed at Loring, but he said he was at Bangor. Now, I had never been to Maine before and my Maine geography isn't all that great, so I didn't think much of it. When I finally met him, what he should've told me was that the B52 was the LAST plane he flew and they were new when he flew them. I think he told me he flew B47 too!

It's a shame because he was a great resource.

So is there anyone folks are recommending now? Harry and John are the only two I've seen in posts, and neither of them are around any more.

A guy in the other thread mentioned a mil-friendly ATP near Boston, but he hasn't responded to PMs.

Accessible aviation in Columbus MS has mostly good reviews...

I did mine at Accessible Aviation. I was under a time-constraint so had a last-minute DE assigned. He hadn't done an ATP check in a very long time as he was mostly doing initial instrument and commercial checks across state at a flight school. He was a tough old bird, for sure. But since he had been doing initials for such a long time, his expectations were appropriate and though I screwed up one thing, I passed without his mentioning it. Accessible Aviation's instruction is top-notch and the price is right. If you get their "regular" DE it would probably be less stressful.

Sheppard Air had some recommendations when I got my test prep - can't recall, but I want to say the All ATPs in Dallas maybe??
