Anyone complete the MCI process with the FSDO in OKC? I'm planning to take the test at the AF AIS since it's free. It would be nice to just take the test score paper along with everything else to the FSDO as soon as I'm finished, but I want to make sure it won't require sacrificing my first born to get it done. Thanks.

Pull down the list of Designate Pilot Examiners (DPE) in your area from the FAA website and call them. One of them may do MCI paperwork for a small fee. We had one in our area that charged $75.

Cheers,

Why pay a fee when your tax dollars have already paid for the services? Going to your local FSDO should be a painless paperwork only exercise for Mil Comp CFI. Call the FSDO and make an appointment. Bring AF-8 form, MCI written test results, logbook and FAA Form 8710-1. Present Military ID or State DL. If everything is in order, the process should take no longer than 15-20 minutes.
