Great post! T.E. is one smart fella and that is a good website.

Was your bottom quote just from this:

FlyerTalk Forums - View Single Post - What's the deal with MD-11s?

If so, nice find!

If you're talking about the copy-paste/quote I posted, I actually got it from and old post on APC years ago when the discussion came up comparing various freight aircraft.

But I'd venture to guess that whomever posted here got it from elsewhere as well.

Ah yes, Credible Sport. What an amazing engineering accomplishment. The last remaining plane is at Robins AFB Museum, but they want to get rid of it. So far, no takers, and it may go to the scrap heap, which would be a shame.

So, does the C-5 still break everywhere you go? Just saying.......The C-17 you tend to forget how large the aircraft is when you're flying it....the fly by wire is pretty awesome......and the combat descent is pretty awesome.....don't think the C-5 can do that......

I'm a guy at a C-5 and C-17 base...and I see the stats weekly. C-5Ms are much improved in reliability over the C-5A/B/Cs, but they still can't keep up with the C-17. C-5s do well when their maintenance is managed well.

I have a 600 knot ground speed when I have 150 knots of tailwind, too.

I'm assuming you've never seen 350/.825 with the inboard TRs deployed. Additionally, I've seen fully configured straight-ins and randoms from 20,000 done in less than 25 miles...that sporty enough for you?
