same here with the palace front, however this is just done in vmpf and signed by your commander. it was approved the next day by AFPC. Palace Chase is a longer approval process but we've had lots of guys leave under palace chase lately with no issues...except the 6 month delay to get scrolled :(

PM me your contact. I'll tell him to call you on Monday when I see him. No DLF positions getting converted to ART. All other bases have conversions planned.

For what it's worth, my Palace Chase was just approved. Took two months, I'm getting out 8 months early and terminal leave starts 15 Nov. It was an easy process but I had to stay on top of the PC office.

I don't understand this...The officer Force Shaping PDSM for both FY 13 and 14 both say 11X's are specifically not eligible. I called AFPC and was told the same. Please educate me.

I think forced shaping and Palace Chase are two different things. I'm simply separating 8mo early

I thought I saw palace chase in the PDSM release message and saw the same thing that basically all 11Xs were not eligible for anything. I may go back and look but I've been looking at the same stuff and was excited to see the message but after reading it was disappointed that 11Xs were not eligible. Congrats though.

There's force shaping PC and regular PC. With force shaping, the commitment is cut by 1/3 if I remember correctly. Seems like approval is likely if you have less than a year left on ADSC. I have to say, I'm pretty surprised to see ANY 11Fs being approved with the current "shortage". The A-10 being on its death bed may have something to do with this one.

I have a few F-16 friends that were approved as well. Talking to the guys at AFPC, they said they blanket approve anyone who applies for PC 6 months out. Outside of 6 mo they look at them on a case by case basis. I think if you are asking for 8-9 months then you'll get approved. If you are within a year and you know you're getting out then just apply. All they can say is no.

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't know there were two flavors of PC.

herkdawg 10-04-2013 07:53 AM

I'll be eligible for PC next Aug...anyone think it's worth even putting in an application if you have more than 1yr left on your service committment. I'll have a little over 3yrs left.
