Default Palace Chase

I just received a job offer from an ANG base and was wondering if anyone had experience with Palace Chase. I'm about 11 months out from my commitment date and I'm going to put in my PC paperwork tomorrow. All of my leadership knows and I'm going to ask to get out in 3 months. What are my chances of this getting approved and how long should it take? Does anyone have any big lessons learned from their experience?

6 months or less should be relatively easy for approval all around.

WRT the plan to get out in three months: Unless things have changed significantly in the last 18 months, I'd plan on at least 6 months for the whole process from submission to appproval. Stay on top of where the paperwork is at and put direct pressure on the signers when able.

Any news on converting AGR to ART positions? Also how difficult is it to fly in the Guard/Reserve and work another job?

I did it. I put a separation date of 5 months down the road but they lost the paperwork (actually the initial fax from MPF did not go through and MPF did not take the time to verify the paperwork made it). It took them forever to figure this out and then the person who was supposed to sign it was on vacation for 3 weeks. Well, they lost it again and it took another few weeks for the Chief to find it. Basically, by the time they finished screwing up an easy process, it was Thursday and my requested separation date was the next Tuesday. The Chief called and congratulated me and said my last day was Tuesday. I asked her for a couple extra days to outprocess and she said "Nope." I was out Tuesday morning with a huge grin on my face and no regrets. If I were you, I would follow your paperwork like a hound dog from desk to desk.

Not a flyer but palace-front(ed) last year with a DOS for 6mo later. It was all done through VMPF and back in under a week.
