Default Little Known VA Benefit

There is a benefit out there for veterans of World War II, Korea, Vietnam, or the Persian Gulf War known as "Aid and Attendance." The VA will provide up to $2,000 per month toward the cost of home health care, nursing home or assisted living care. Spouses of veterans may also qualify. The program is income based. In general, an applicant must have less than $80,000 in assets, excluding a home and a vehicle. More information is available at www.veteranaid.org. This may be useful to those of you with elderly parents or for any other veterans getting on in years. I had never heard of this program.
