When I was a freshman, our room was raided by an OSI guy who we thought was a janitor. We were interrogated individually, subjected to strip search, and basically it was the scariest thing I'd ever undergone.

Yes they found weed. One of my roommates, a total doosh, had put all of us in danger. At least he copped to it.

That place has changed so much, I barely recognize it any more. It makes me sad that it has come to this... coercing cadets in trouble to become street informants.

Yes, what would the warrior leader Robin Olds think of his Air Force today? Sadly, we are facing a similar decline in Naval Aviation (Navy and Marine Corps) with an emphasis in the wrong areas while "grooming" our flying leaders. It's yet another tragic byproduct of this PC-driven, "everyone gets a trophy" culture that we now live in. As former Navy Secretary Lehman stated in September of 2011, "“If we continue to suppress the warrior spirit, there will be no one left to defend the Constitution of the United States and we shall perish as a nation.”

While all would recognize that we needed to clean up our collective act in ready rooms after Hook '91 in Vegas, the PC movement has gone way too far in doing so. And, it seems the Air Force is going the same direction as illustrated by the tragic gutting of fighter culture at Nellis and throughout the USAF. Hence, I don't envy the flyers (in all branches) who must carry our torch in the years ahead.

This stuff has been around for awhile, in UPT 1973, OSI came in and took 2 out of class, never to be seen again. Maid turned them in for smoking weed.
