Default FCC license?

Hi All,

Just curious, as I run through a checklist of things needed to apply to the Majors (ATP, airlineapps, etc.), one item that I seem to have overlooked is the FCC Radio telephone operators permit (RP). I saw a thread recently about it, but can seem to find it, there was info regarding a military rate. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I also saw my passport expires in 10 days, which is another thing I need to renew!

This link isn't working for me but give it a try.

$60 when I did it. Probably still is.

Thanks Hilltopper, I found the same link and it was dead too. Not sure what is up with the website, looks like a form 605 is what I am in search of. I figure I should have this license completed before an interview, correct?

Default FCC license?

Anyone ever try to get a reprint of their FCC? Got mine 20 years ago and it looks like it might fall apart any moment now.

I may be wrong but I think that's a box that needs to be checked before they'll call for an interview. They'll take a copy of it then along with medical and airman's certificate.

Default Replacement

Zap-I was in the same situation a year or so ago. As I recall, if you're in their database or they can still read the issue date on your old certificate, they'll issue you a new one with the original issue date on it for free.

I don't have the contact information handy, but google found it for me without much trouble. I remember I had to call them; there was no online way to arrange the above.

Hope that helps.

Here's the working link:

http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls/

Sign up to get your FRN first, then login to get to the form.
