I have a question, what about doing it the other way. I have been in the military 10 years, currently deployed and returning home in a few weeks. I am scheduled to start a flight program at a 4 year University when I get back but now I have a chance to go to flight school for the army flying AH64s. That being said I am 27 years old if I got through with it I will be 30 when I complete training and I will want to go back to the 4 year University and complete the professional pilot program. By the time I complete my degree and flight time required to apply for any airline I will be 36 minimum maybe a little older. It's it still possable to pursue a career in aviation at that point?

If being an airline pilot is more important, then I would go the other route, just know that it is going to be a long journey. You are not too late to start by any means for either route.
There are plenty of guys that have made the airline thing work going either route. You just have a few more challenges as a rotary guy.
Best of luck, sounds like you have a tough choice between two awesome paths.

Hey guys also, I have been told so far at my flight school , that going guard is a good idea as well. My ultimate goal would be Navy. But im cool with guard. I just want to serve my country and fly as well.
But I have another issue, I have a Benign Heart Mur Mur, its barely there. 2-3/5 times the docs find it. During my third class physical he picked it right up but when I went to the docs on the 23rd they didnt hear it at all. Ive read its pretty much a DQ in the military. Ive had it since I was born they said I should grow out of it, but im 19 now an they still find it every now an than.
Anyone have any information on that? Any more details would be great.
