Guys like this are identified early and once you have that tag you'll NEVER lose it. Everybody knows somebody and they talk. Heck, guys washed out for less. Be careful.

Are you saying that just because someone wants to go to the airlines after their pilot training commitment is up, they should be washed out? Get over yourself!

He is saying the guy doesn't want to be a Naval Officer but wants to use the Navy for UAL training, for that reason, he should be washed out.

Absolutely not. I'm saying that guys can be washed out because the IP cadre don't like them.

Spot on. The idea that one wants to use the military solely as a tool to get to an airline job is offensive to me and many.

There are tons of ARC babies that would laugh at you for thinking that. Not saying you're wrong, but there are lots of people in the military with the eventual goal of transitioning to a civilian career.

Agreed and I'm not that naive. Yet one should have an overarching desire to serve first.
