The SE community has been harping on getting an auto GCAS for at least 20 years, so glad to see it is finally going in.

They were only testing this at Edwards 20+ years ago. The only holdup was money if you can believe that.

How long have we had Terprom in cruise missiles? and we couldn't put them in manned aircraft because?????

Maybe I'm not reading your post properly - if SE means "single engine" but what does that have to do with this system?
It wouldn't be a good thing for Hogs, Strike Eagles or Hornet?

Hornet community is still trying to get an ILS. Not joking.

Yup...when I flew T-34s on exchange, still no ILS...the Navy is the only service (in the US) that still uses PARs on a regular basis.

That is changing.
PARs are going away. We just lost the only one in the state of OK (Fort Sill).
Navy T-6s and T-45s both have ILSs.
Naval aviation for the fleet has put their faith into JPALS - at least as late as 2010. Not sure what path the Safety System Working Groups have been heading down the last few years.
