Default Airlines to AGR

Hello all, I think I know the answer to my question but I want to seek advice from someone in my situation to see what can be done. I'm a regional pilot and have come into an opportunity of Army Guard AGR. Am I eligible to take a leave of absence and go AGR or would I need to resign from the airline when put on title 32? I've searched around and it looks like I would need to resign but I am not 100%. Thanks in advance.

Ditto what galaxy flyer said. There's a guy in my unit that is AGR and took leave from his civilian job to work in our flight facility. He's been working with us for the past 3 years now.

You DO NOT need to resign. Go to the Staff Judge Advocate's office at your nearest post and get some counsel from them on USERRA. Please PM me immediately if your company tries to give you even the slightest hard time. Also, don't expect ALPA to help you with this. Since you won't be paying them dues during your absence, they won't care to help you. Trust me; I've been down this road.
