Default Tricare Standard Deductible

Does anyone know what Tricare uses as a credit against your deductible? We are currently using Anthem Blue Cross High Deductible thorough FedEx with Tricare Standard as a supplement. The new year for the Tricare deductible starts 1 October and I am not sure what they will credit as our deductible. For example, my wife takes allergy shots every month. The Blue Cross copay is $13.84 and that is what Tricare has been paying ever since we met the deductible this fiscal year. The Tricare allowed amount is $41.46. I am wondering which will count towards our $150 individual deductible, the $13.84 or the $41.56. Any body have any experience with this?

Not sure about your specific case, but normally the amount you actually pay out of pocket (or would be paying out of pocket) is the amount applied to the deductible.

Please let us know I have never quite figured it out. I always thought it was the amount that was on those "what the doctor can charge you forms" but now switching to having a secondary insurance I do not know.

I will let you know which number they use. It will probably be late November or early December by the time the doctor files primary insurance, then runs the balance through Tricare and Tricare gets it processed.
