Default F-15E and the ANG

ANG options are limited for the Strike Eagle community (for Voice Activated Actuators). But before you run off to fly white jets consider coming over to the F-15C. The small number of remaining AD F-15 squadrons is having an impact on ANG recruiting. Not every ANG unit is hurting, but a couple are. You'd need to be a current IP or at least a MC. If you're not current it will be harder to get hired, long TX courses are hard to come by.

PM me if you have questions.

The Reserves have a squadron doing schoolhouse work at SJ.

Yes they do, hence the statement "limited options." Have you been there? I suspect many E guys wish they had other options.

Well, this thread finally got interesting. Do tell.

Let me guess. It's an associate unit? That's usually the opening salvo, one of three conversations that lead to "run far away from this place as possible". Not that I'm trying to stir people up or anything....I do have some picket signs in the tailgate of my car in case anybody's interested

From what I understand, the ANG is usually looking for pretty experienced guys. 3200 hours doesn't seem like that much. Plus, he said "current" - doesn't that rule out a retired pilot?

ROFL. That's a good one, you made me chuckle...

If you weren't kidding, 3200 hours is a TON of time in a fighter, especially in a single airframe.
