Default Scholarships for PPL training?

Does anyone here know if there are scholarships, or something similar, available for flight training at an FBO? The cost for a PPL at the airport closest to my house is around 9,000 dollars, and I just left ERAU, so my cash reserves are a little low . This is at private company, not part of a university or college.

On a side note, has anyone trained at West Houston airport or Anson Air in Sugar Land? If so, do you recommend either of those locations?

There are organizations out there that will sponsor your training. OBAP, BPA & maybe even AOPA just to name a few. My advice is to go to some of the larger pilot organizations and then see if they have a local chapter in your area.

Hope this helps. Blue skies.
