Bumpin' this one up....

In Alaska, looking for more of the same answers as Socal. I had looked at the Embry Riddle degree, with credit for the ATP/A&P, but it looked kinda expensive and I had to be near a campus for some of the classes. Here in AK campus role call is not an option. Anyone going through this right now?

I'm looking for a BS in maybe business or something non aviation related, perhaps. Thanks for any and all replies!!!

Let's say someone has a BA in an unrelated field and an ATP. Does ERAU have any Master's programs that would be "conducive"?

You don't need to go to any campus for Embry Riddle. You can do it all on-line.

they'll give you 36 hours for your multi-comm?

i too am looking for the best/fastest way to get my 4 year degree... i have about 40 hours of actual college credit and i also have my multi-comm... so that'd be 76 hours right there, theoretically...

There are a number of accredited schools that will give you credits for prior college and for your FAA licenses and certificates. See http://www.elearners.com/colleges/index.asp for a list of both correspondence and on-line accredited schools.

I particularly like California Coast University http://www.calcoast.edu/
and American Public University http://www.apus.edu/index.htm for their flexibility and affordability.

Get a part time job at FEDEX or UPS throwing boxes.....they will pay for your college (around $3000 a year or so).

They did the same for me....credited 36 units for my A+P. I transferred the remaining credits from my BA degree and only needed 30 units at ERAU to graduate. Worked at FEDEX part time to pay for most of it.
