Default AOPA joins S.O.S?

So AOPA joined StopOilSpeculation Now (S.0.S.) according to the new AOPA Pilot

Little skeptical myself about it... does anyone think that this campaign will work or have any arguments for or against it?

Oil is a global commodity...if we impose artificial economics within our borders, the market will just move offshore.

Actually it worked in the past before this law change was enacted Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 or CFMA by congress. Basically it removed over site and allowed anyone to trade energy futures. This is also called the Enron loophole. Look it up for your self.

Enron's demise was not cause by the deregulation of the energy market... there were many different reasons, one is playing into the fractional reserve system... the excesses thereof...
Most of what Enron did was made possible by the Federal Reserve Board and the fractional reserve monetary system.... a skyscraper of cards, paper wealth, etc

For example... if you pull out your wallet you will not find dollars, but "Federal Reserve Notes", these are not dollars.. they are supposed to represent dollars.. basically copies of copies in which the only value (after 1933) is confidence. Enron worked very similar producing "copies of copies" of stock, (special stocks - derivatives) etc...they take these "derivatives" and cash them in to real dollars...... (it isn't quite that simple... but bascially). The creation of the FRB (which is a private organization, not owned by the public or the government) in 1913 enabled this action to take place by a 4 time derivative from gold....factor stocks and special stocks into that, etc. The basis for our currency right now is basically a ponzi scheme.
