Default Tips For Making Stuff Last Longer

These tips might help some of you/us, but I don't care what the author says - I am NOT waiting 6 months before washing my jeans. Forget it.

There's a balance between the wear caused by washing and that caused by dirt particles grinding around in the fabric. Six months is waaay past the break even point.

Not a very good article. Some of the stuff is just wrong or completely impractical (DRY your RAZOR blades? heck, most are stainless anyway); the correct items are trivial and / or already well-known.
