Default Loan help

If anyone in works at a bank, or has done something like this before could help me I would appreciate it much. I am currently going to a community college. I am also taking flying lessons. I asked about financing my flying lessons and my instructor told me they do it through Sallie Mae. Now I need a loan that will pay for my schooling, as well as my flying lessons. The flight school and the college are in no way affiliated. I have gone to my bank to get a loan and they said they would pay for college, but not flight school. I have gone to sallie mae they would pay for one or the other. I was told to go with the tuition answer loan with sallie mae, but that only offers me 15,000 a year which would pay for school and my living expenses but no flying. The max amount per year is $40,000. This first year I would need all $40,000. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas please let me know. Thank you for your time.

Finish you college - 4 year degree. Then worry about finishing your ratings. That 4 year degree is a nice thing to have out of the way. Aviation is not going away - you'll be able to complete your flight training after school...

I know everyone is in a rush to get on the line and start flying - but if you have to choose btwn a 4 year degree and flight training. Take the 4 year degree then worry about the ratings...

Maybe not what you wanted to hear but thats the way I see it. I stopped after my PPL - didn't want to keep spending money or tap the GI BILL for flight training. I plan on getting as much education (Masters plus cisco certifications and if i have $$$ left a certified financial planner cert) outside of aviation before i get into pro flying...

Another thing, don't think about this stuff too much - you'll miss out on college life and it can be a lot of fun...
