Default Cathay Housing

I am posting my opinion on Cathay Pacific and their housing allowance. I know that HK$10,000 is not enough to survive in HongKong. The company is trying to get back what they spend on your training by taking away your allowance. I think that there would certainly be many people out there that would jump at the opportunity if they were not aware of this circumstance. Pilots have over several decades been compensated for the fact that they are not from HongKong with a generous housing allowance. This reduced rate being paid to new pilots undermines the pilots who have allready commited themselves to Cathay. This also places the new pilot in jeapordy because it underpays him severely. Being underpaid will certainly effect your retirement and wellfare in the long run.
I feel that it is important for pilots to realize this and refrain from even applying until this improves.
Make up your own mind!
